Who We Are
Bel Air Knights of Columbus Council 4714 is a dedicated group of Catholic men who share a common mission: We welcome all men of the Catholic faith to join us on this journey of prayer, service, and brotherhood.
The Knights of Columbus is a global Catholic fraternal organization founded in 1882 by Blessed Father Michael J. McGivney in New Haven, Connecticut. It was established to provide financial aid and support to Catholic families, especially widows and orphans, during a time when many immigrant families faced hardship and discrimination.
Our goal is to strengthen men and their families in the Catholic faith. Formation in our faith goes beyond mere facts or religious practice to an authentic connection with a loving God and his son Jesus Christ.
Our Council was founded on December 16, 1958 and works closely with the parishes of Saint Mark in Fallston MD, and Saint Margaret in Bel Air, MD. Our members are active participants in their parishes, although you don’t need to be a parishioner in either of those parishes to join our council; we have members from other parishes within the county.
